Katie's Pizza & Pasta Osteria is NOW OPEN at Ballpark Village!

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria (KPPO), an award-winning Italian restaurant and bar concept owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Katie and Ted Collier, will open its newest location in Ballpark Village. The third – and largest – Katie’s Pizza & Pasta restaurant will be located at 751 Clark Street, in the heart of Ballpark Village and in the shadows of Busch Stadium across from Gate 4. Build out of the new space will begin immediately and is being led by Spiegelglass Construction with an early 2023 opening planned.

“For two kids who grew up in St. Louis, opening a restaurant across the street from Busch Stadium in Ballpark Village is a dream come true,” said Katie Collier, co-owner of KPPO. “Our new restaurant will be our largest by far, which gives us an opportunity to expand our concept – and our menu. We’ll have lots of familiar favorites and several new dishes available exclusively at this location. We’re looking forward to becoming a part of the fabric of Ballpark Village and downtown St. Louis on Cardinal game days and well beyond.”

The Colliers will collaborate with TAO + LEE to design the nearly 10,000 sq. ft. space. Plans include the incorporation of a private event space, an outdoor patio, a prominent pasta-making station, and a carry-out market selling specialty items and ready-to-eat dishes. The design will incorporate a contemporary yet accessible aesthetic that is consistent with Katie’s Pizza & Pasta’s Rock Hill and Town & Country locations. Ted as well as Katie’s mother, Belinda Lee, are celebrated painters with pieces in various prominent collections in St. Louis and beyond. Both will contribute new pieces to hang in the space.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Katie’s Pizza and Pasta open their newest restaurant in Ballpark Village,” said Bill DeWitt III, president of the St. Louis Cardinals. “It is one of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis, and to have them choose downtown to expand their successful local operation is a huge win for the Cardinals and downtown St. Louis.”

When it opens in early 2023, KPPO at Ballpark Village will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week and brunch Saturdays and Sundays. The menu will include the restaurant’s traditional antipasti, burrata, salads and hand-crafted pizza and pasta. The addition of a wood-fired grill will allow KPPO at Ballpark Village to also offer approachable Italian steak and seafood dishes.

KPPO’s successful Giveback Tuesday charitable events will continue at the Ballpark Village location. Every month, the restaurants feature a local nonprofit organization and donate 100% of profits from the entire day to the charity. To date, Giveback Tuesdays have raised $321,500 for local nonprofit organizations. All Giveback Tuesdays taking place at the Ballpark Village location will benefit nonprofits focused on revitalizing downtown St. Louis and promoting youth development through sports.

“A healthy and vibrant downtown St. Louis is critical to a healthy and vibrant region, and we are happy to support the people and organizations who make our hometown so special,” said Ted Collier, co-owner of KPPO.

“At Ballpark Village we have strived to create a true neighborhood destination by reflecting the personality and tastes of St. Louis with the restaurants and retail shops we partner with. Katie’s Pizza & Pasta is a perfect example of our efforts to bring St. Louis originals to Ballpark Village,” said Mike LaMartina, Chief Operating Officer for Ballpark Village. “Katie’s will join such hometown favorites as Salt + Smoke and Arch Apparel, making Ballpark Village the ideal destination in St. Louis to live, work, and play any day of the year.”
